Dr Eric Comerma
Dr. Comerma has been simulating marine and coastal pollution for 25 years. With a background in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Ocean Engineering, he has an extensive expertise in numerical modelling and operational oceanography, supporting Marine Emergency Response efforts such as counter-pollution and Search & Rescue operations. He collaborates closely with coastguards and environmental protection agencies, customizing and delivering software systems to enhance marine response capabilities.
Leading the international consultancy team at RPS Ocean Science (a Tetra Tech company), he provides modelling services for Environmental Impact Assessments and Contingency Planning in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Based in the Netherlands to better serve the EMEA market, Dr. Comerma oversees numerous international consultancy projects in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Fluent in four languages, he is passionate about numerical modelling and eager to contribute to the digital revolution, including AI solutions and digital twins.
