Dr Vania de Stefani
Dr Vania Stefani is the CEO of Oil Spill Response Ltd having spent 20+ years in oil and gas, excelling in engineering, operations, and process safety. Starting at Imperial College, she led the fire and explosion model team.
With BP, Vania rose to Vice President of Operations for Mauritania and Senegal, leading diverse teams across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. She was key in responding to the Deepwater Horizon incident and managing crises in other regions.
In 2023, she became CEO of Oil Spill Response Limited. Vania holds a Master’s in Process Engineering from the University of Padua and a PhD in Thermophysics from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Mines de Paris.
